Betting on the Indian Premier League is something plenty of punters are currently doing, and with the futures betting markets about to come to a close, and those betting markets becoming in-play ones, then times is running out if you want to hopefully bag some much bigger odds on the team you think will win it.
Take for example the BetFred sportsbook, they have the Chennai Super Kings at 2/1 and when it comes to value that is a standout bet for sure, and one that I do know plenty of punters have been latching onto, but make no mistake about it those odds are going to change if they do play up to their very best form on their upcoming matches!
The Mumbai Indians are not without their chances of winning the IPL in 2026, and as far as the early support goes on that team it has been as solid as you would expect, and as such their current odds do give you something of an insight into what their winning chances are, and those odds for reference are 11/4.
Plenty of punters have been having a speculative punt on the Delhi Capitals, and all things considered they are a team that is expected to perform well this season, and that is what plenty of punters think they will do and have been taking the 3/1 odds still available on that team to win the IPL this season.
Any Team Could Win the Title
It doesn't matter how high the odds you can back any of the teams that are involved in the IPL this year are, any team could go on to be crowned the champion team a at the end of the season and as such I would never put you off backing any teams you fancy the chance of!
Therefore let me now move onto giving you an insight into which teams are much more fancied that others and two teams that are include the Sunrisers Hyderabad who look a fair to be all things considered at 5/1 and then you have the Kings XI Punjab who are currently trading at around the 10/1 mark.
Fancy Backing Any Other Teams?
If you want to back any of the three other teams that could win the IPL but are the underdogs and rank outsiders to do just that I feel you should consider asking for your own odds on a betting change such as Betfair.
The reason I say do just that is the odds that you are likely to be offered are going to be way higher than those available generally at most betting sites, so do consider betting on those three other teams via a betting change if you do wish to do so and do make sure that you take odds that are higher than 14/1 on the Kolkata Knight Riders, 33/1 on the Royal Challengers Bangalore and do not accept or take odds that are lower than 40/1 on the Rajasthan Royals either.
