This Year's Investec Oaks is an Open Affair

With bookies up and down the land already touting their ante post betting markets to horse race punters, there is one upcoming race that is proving to be not the easiest of races to try and work out the winner of.

That is of course the 2026 Investec Oaks race, and a quick glance at betting sites such as BetFred will give you an indication of just how open a rave it is, for the favourite is Pink Dogwood, and even though there has already been some hefty bets placed on that horse on the ante post betting markets it is still available at odds of 7/2.

Many punters however will be hoping the Pink Dogwood proves to be a flop in this race and doesn't cross the winning line in first place, and with some double-digit odds being made readily available right now on all other runners, there is plenty of value bets available.

In fact, it will certainly be worth considering backing any of the other horses you fancy each way, for with bookies going one fifth the win odds to three places at least, that means you can back any of the other double digit odds runners right now each-way and still end up in profit if they do fill any of the top three spots in this race.

Best Each-Way Chances

With both Sea of Faith and Sparkle Roll being offered as the current ante post joint second favourite to win this race, and as they are both readily available at odds of 14/1, they are two stand out each-way bets that I do know plenty of punters will be placing.

Looking at the form of both of those two horses they are very closely matched, so if Pink Dogwood does win this race it's a fair bet that both Sea of Faith and Sparkle Roll will fill the second and third spots.

The Rest of the Investec Oaks Field

Many other the other runners in this race are grouped together with odds of 20/1 and 25/1 and even 33/1 being offered on them, but there is one horses that could prove to be a worthwhile each-way bet if everything does fall into place during the race.

That horse is Hermosa and it would appear a handful of punters have cottoned onto its chances, for it is now trading at odds of around 16 to 18/1, and that is another each-way possibility to consider.

As mentioned up above, the rest of the horses are grouped together in such a way that there are plenty of them available at odds of 20/1 and those horses include the likes of Tamniah, Star Catcher, Happen, Entitle, Wonderment, Manuela De Vega, Just Wonderful and Chablis.

Keep in mind though that even though some horses may seem like outsiders due to their higher than average odds, over the years some huge priced outsiders and horses that were not really fancied to win this race have gone on to do so!
