The next major golf tournament is the Memorial Tournament, and today I want to give you an insight into some of the much more unusual and unique betting opportunities that are currently on offer on it and will therefore below be looking at the group betting opportunities.
You can place a bet on just which golfer in Groups, A, B or C that you think is going to top each group at the end of 72 holes, and the odds being presented to you are those that are available over at BetFred, but do be quick as they are likely to change once the in-play betting markets go live.
The current state of the Group A betting markets which is a 72 Hole Group is such that R. Mcilroy is the current 23/10 favourite to win that group, however do not forget that plenty of other top rated golfers are also in that group including the current second favourite golfer to win that being T. Woods at 3/1.
You then have both J. Thomas and J. Rose 4/1, who I am cure plenty of you will have an eye on as one of the possible winners of that group, but everything will have to fall their way in those 72 holes of golf, and for reference R. Fowler is also in that group too and he is also a 4/1 shot to win it.
Bet on the Group B Winner
The 72 Hole Group B winner betting is just as open as the Group A betting market, and as such there really is some value waiting to be mopped up if you fancy the chances of any of the five golfers playing that that Group.
- Cantlay is currently heading that betting market at odds of 5/2, but just keep in mind that as soon as this tournament begins that betting market will then switch over to a live in-play one, and the odds on each golfer will change, dependent on just how well they are playing.
For those of you out there that have your eyes on any of the other golfers playing in Group B then the following odds are available on each of them, J. Day is a 3/1 shot, followed closely ion the betting by M. Kuchar who is 7/2, and both J. Spieth and X. Schauffele are the outsiders to head Group B currently both being touted and offered at odds of 4/1.
T. Finau Leading the Betting on Group C
It is T. Finau that does have the chance of being the Group C winning in the Memorial Tournament this year, and he may just be worth taking a punt on, especially as his win odds of coming out on top in that group are currently 14/5.
Moving onto the early second favourite to win Group C, well that honour is currently with H. Matsuyama who doers look like he has a fair chance of winning that group if his current 3/1 odds are to be taken at face value.
- Woodland is next in the betting with slightly higher odds of 7/2 being offered on him winning this group and there is nothing separating the final two golfers in this group on the early betting markets for those golfers are A. Scott and B. Dechambeau who are both 19/5 shots.
