Betting on a race in January that is not scheduled to be run in January of next year will see you being able to take advantage of some huge odds, for anything could of course happen to the form of any of the horses that are expected to take part in for example the Derby.
However, I am more than aware many punters do like to take something of a long term interest in a range of major horse races such as that, and with that in mind below you are going to find the best ante post odds I have found at several of our featured betting sites.
The horse that most pundits are of the mind is going to run to perfect that day, based on its current form is Too Darn Hot and there have been plenty of punters lumping on that horse even this far ahead of that race, and its odds are now around the 3/1 mark, and if its form does remain the same or improves even more it should win the Derby with great ease too.
You will notice a massive increase in the odds on the second favourite to win the Derby next year and that horse is Anthony Van Dyck who you should have no difficulties being able to back it at odds of 12/1.
Quorto a Sound Each-Way Bet at 14/1
I would advise you to shop around though when it comes to backing any horses on the ante post betting markets for the Derby, as some bookies are going to be paying out to more places or will be giving you a higher percentage of the win odds on the placed horses.
One bet that does look appealing if you are prepared to back a horse each-way is and odds of 14/1 are currently generally available, but don't take lower odds than that at this moment in time.
The Rest of the Derby Runners
Magna Grecia at 16/1 is another horse that will attract some each-way sharks for sure, and at 20/1 you are going to find horses such as Japan, Madhmoon and also one horse some punters do like the look of that being Line Of Duty.
If you are of the mind that Mount Everest is going to run a good race or that Turgenev should full a place position then make sure you bag the odds of 25/1 which for the record are also available on Norway too.
There are four horses that will need to massively improve their form figures in the next few months if they are to have any possible chance of winning or getting placed and two 33/1 shots that appear to be out of their depth in that race are Old Glory and Syndey Opera House along with the two 50/1 shots that are Mohawk and Waldstern who it is very fair and true to say will need a miracle if they are going to outclass any of the other horses listed up above!
