Royal Ascot and the Top Jockey Betting Opportunities

This coming week starting on Tuesday will see one of the major flat race meetings of the season get under way and that is of course the Royal Ascot meeting, named as such as each year HM the Queen will be in attendance, and there are plenty of races to cast your betting eye over of course.

One betting market that can often get overlooked by punters however is the Top Jockey betting market, and as the name of it suggests you simply have to predict which jockey is going to win the most races and be crowned the top jockey of the meeting.

Now, as you would expect, there are some jockeys that have plenty of rides throughout the Royal Ascot race meeting, and some of them do have a very good chance of winning race after race too, and the first jockey that does is Ryan Moore.

In fact, so confident are many punters regarding his chances of winning the top jockey title, they have been backing him early, so much so that the best odds I have seen being offered on him currently are 4/7, so make sure you bet on him sooner rather than later if you do rate his chances of success.

Dettori Could be Crowned Top Jockey

Any horse could of course win any of the races at this year's Royal Ascot race meeting, and as such it may not be the case that Ryan Moore will end up winning the top jockey title this year, and there are several other jockeys that do have some chance of doing so instead.

But one jockey that is always worth keeping a close eye on, especially in each of the big races at Royal Ascot is Frankie Dettori, and as far as his chances of being crowned the top jockey at this race meeting, well he is a 3/1 chance.

Take a Chance on an Outsider

With such high class and vastly experienced jockeys riding many horses at this coming weeks Royal Ascot race meeting, you could fancy backing one of your personal favourites to win the top jockey title, and that may be a system that pays dividends.

Much more so when you realise the odds that are on offer before that race meeting gets underway on many other jockeys, take for example James Doyle he could quite easily win race after race and his odds are now 6/1 to win the title.

Two jockeys that also have a reasonable chance if not a great one are Jim Crowley who can currently be backed at odds of 20/1 and Donnacha O’Brien who is 25/1.

Other jockeys who some of you out there may just rate the chance of include the likes of Oisin Murphy and Silvestre De Sousa, and by backing them right now you should be easily able to get odds of around the 33/1 mark, and as for Jamie Spencer he is a 50/1 shot and you may prefer backing Andrea Atzeni at 66/1.
