There is a lot of activity on the ante post betting markets for the many races that make up this years running of the Royal Ascot ace meeting, but do keep in mind it is not only the horses running in any of those races that you can have a bet on.
You will find that you can bet on the jockey you think will end up winning the most races, and that is a betting market I did take a look at on this website a couple of days ago, but today I want to look at the way the betting has been going so far on the top trainer betting market.
If you are looking for some horses to back, then you probably won't go far wrong by picking out those that have been trained by Aidan O’Brien, for he is expected to have plenty of winners during this race meeting, however those horses won't be available at huge odds.
In fact, backing O'Brien to win the top trainer title is something plenty of punters have already done, and much several of the horses he will be sending there his odds to win that title are low, currently being just 4/9.
Josh Gosden Second Favourite
As long as you do keep in mind that the results once they come in for each race will have some effect on the odds that each trainer is being offered at to be the top trainer then you will release why plenty of punters are backing certain trainers before the race meeting actually starts.
One other trainer who is being backed currently, but not as much as Aiden O'Brien is Josh Gosden, and currently he is the second favourite to win the top trainer title, and by shopping around several betting sites you should be able to secure odds of around 9/2 on him.
Additional Trainers with Horses at Royal Ascot
It is up to you whether you do decide to place a bet on the top trainer betting market and just which trainer you do end up betting on, and another one of them that should have some level of success at Royal Ascot this year is Charlie Appleby who is a 6/1 shot right now.
Sir Michael Stoute has had plenty of winners at Royal Ascot meetings over the years but whether he will be the top trainer this year, well we will have to wait and see of course, however if you do rate his chances of success then now is the best time to secure some juicy odds, those odds being 12/1.
A couple of other trainers that may be worth following this year are William Haggas and Mark Johnston both of whom can be backed at double digit odds of 25/1, and then you have the likes of both Roger Varian and Charlie Hills who are trading at or around the 33/1 mark to be the top trainer at Royal Ascot in 2026.
